100% SILK SCARF
Hand dyed with love in Brooklyn, NY.
Every piece is truly one of a kind.
Naturally dyed with hibiscus, cochineal, onion skins and iron salts. Color is a silvery grey with magenta, golden mustard and sage green flecks.
Each bandana is approximately 8 x 54”. This is long enough to wrap twice around the neck and head and tie. Also a perfect length for a long scarf around a pony tail, easy bun or on a hand bag!
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE PURCHASING:
Natural and botanical dyes are derived from once living matter and therefore are subject to evolve over time. This is part of the beauty of natural dyes, and if well cared for these changes can be minimized.
SUGGESTED CARE:
-Spot clean carefully as needed, only in affected area. To best preserve color while cleaning, use a pH neutral soap like woolite and rinse with cool water, hang dry only. Do not use bleach or detergents.
-If the material wrinkles, the best method is to hang it up in a humid room (like the bathroom while the shower is running) and the wrinkles should release on their own. If they persist, a medium temp iron or a gentle steamer will work.
-Avoid allowing the material to come in contact with anything a acidic (citrus, vinegar, wine, perfume etc) as this will potentially shift the colors.
-Store away from direct sunlight to avoid fading over time. It’s best to store scarves loosely rolled vs folded so they don’t develop hard creases.
-Don’t let the fussiness of silk scare you off :) These are made of a soft, durable fabric that will only get better with time if well taken care of. They are machine hemmed, which tends to help them last longer. Quality materials and construction are top priorities for all items in the shop.
Lastly, I do my best to capture the true colors and brilliance of each item. However with different screen settings and lighting, color may appear slightly different- I think you’ll find the colors are even more vibrant in person!
